Known for its mischievous and degrading behavior, Ragnarök frequently pesters Chrona with noogies, nose pinches, head hits, and food theft, even during combat. While it initially seems surprised when Chrona demands it stop, its true nature reveals a dangerous ambition to absorb any soul, regardless of whether it is evil or innocent. This consumption of innocent souls has caused its soul wavelength to spiral out of control, vastly overpowering Chrona’s own wavelength and ultimately leading to its plan to eat Chrona’s soul. In battle, Ragnarök offers versatile abilities beyond its standard sword form. It can transform into a dragon, granting Chrona wings to fly and significantly boosting his combat capabilities. In its sword state, it can sprout a mouth that emits a high-pitched scream to draw in souls, acting like a vacuum to absorb them. The vibrations from this scream also allow it to function like an electric saw. Furthermore, Ragnarök can control the black blood Chrona sheds due to consuming innocent souls. It can shape this blood into spikes for multi-angle attacks or solidify it to stop bleeding, acting as a bandage to prevent Chrona from passing out. Although it resides within Chrona’s body, tainting his blood, it shows a twisted concern for his health, helping to heal wounds but always demanding thanks afterward. It has also been noted to find Maka’s soul delicious, though its ability to actually see souls remains unconfirmed. Following its confrontation with Maka, Ragnarök had all its absorbed souls confiscated, causing it to shrink significantly into a chibi form. Despite its reduced power, it retains a slightly perverted streak, evidenced by pulling up Chrona’s dress when he stood up to it and lifting Maka’s skirt to comment on her dull panties. Even diminished, it still desires to eat any soul it encounters and frequently uses Chrona as a human shield against non-lethal attacks like the Maka Chop. Its offensive strategies primarily focus on using Chrona’s blood to cause mass destruction. Key attacks include Blood Spike, which turns blood droplets into spikes for multi-directional assault, and Screech Resonance, its equivalent of Soul Resonance.
