Summary
Ruri is the eldest daughter of Zen's older brother. Her early childhood was marked by tragedy, as she lost her mother and younger brother to starvation following an epidemic and poor harvest. Her father had also passed away, likely in a war, though the specific cause was never detailed. Since then, she has been raised solely by Yuba. Despite her difficult past, Ruri maintains close relationships with most villagers. The exceptions are Sayo and Shin, who were the primary figures in her childhood. The three of them spent significant time together learning spirit arts under Yuba's guidance and bonded closely as fellow orphans.
