Mewtwo

Summary

Mewtwo is a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon with feline traits, primarily gray with a purple underbelly and tail. It features blunt ear-like horns, purple eyes, and a tube connecting its skull to its spine. Its hands and feet have spherical-tipped digits, and its tail tapers to a bulb. Created in Kanto’s Pokémon Mansion by cloning the Mythical Pokémon Mew, Mewtwo was engineered to be the strongest Pokémon. Journal entries reveal it endured horrific gene-splicing experiments, gaining immense power and a vicious nature before escaping and destroying the facility. In the Pokémon Adventures manga, human cells from Team Rocket scientist were required to complete the clone, linking Mewtwo to Blaine, who could track it at the cost of his life. Described as having the most savage heart among Pokémon, Mewtwo lacks compassion and conserves energy by remaining still to unleash full power. It is driven solely by the desire to defeat opponents. While rarely seen in the wild, it rests in dark caves. In Mewtwo Strikes Back, it demonstrated levitation, mind control, memory erasure, telepathy, teleportation, and the ability to create world-destroying storms, later showing altruistic and protective qualities. In Genesect and the Legend Awakened, it survived in outer space, and in Detective Pikachu, it could transfer a human soul into a crazed Pokémon. Shadow Mewtwo is a unique variant with dark gray skin, a yellowish-orange tipped tail, and a Shadow Synergy Stone shard in its shoulder. The stone merged with Mewtwo after Anne was nearly possessed, causing Shadow Mewtwo to drain Gaia Power from other Synergy Stones in Ferrum, increasing its power. Mewtwo has two standard forms, Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y, and Shadow Mewtwo can Mega Evolve into Mega Shadow Mewtwo X using Synergy Burst. Mega Mewtwo X is larger and bulkier, with longer, pointed horns, light blue eyes, and purple ridges forming a hump on its back. Its limbs are bulkier with vein-like ridges, and its tail is shorter with a curled tip. This form grants formidable physical power, including one-ton grip strength and a 100-meter sprint in two seconds, with the ability to stretch limbs in battle. Mega Shadow Mewtwo X retains its dark gray color but features glowing yellow-orange infection spread across its shoulder growths, arm ridges, and ear tips, with a glowing Y-shaped line across its body. It shares the limb-stretching ability and forms when Shadow Mewtwo uses Shadow Synergy Burst and collected Gaia Power. Separating the stone reverses the transformation. Mega Mewtwo Y is smaller and lighter, losing its tail and neck tube but growing a purple, curled appendage from its head. It has red eyes, purple bulbous digits, and a sternum-like ridge. Despite its size, it possesses phenomenal mental power, capable of smashing buildings with thought, and remains airborne constantly.
