Summary
Arthur is an aspiring writer and a novice ophthalmologist who spent a period serving on a ship. In 1889, he received an invitation to the Phantomhive manor during a party attended by many prominent figures. The invitation was extended because the Earl admired one of Wordsmith’s articles published in a rather obscure magazine, which served as the sole reason for the summons. His character is modeled after the renowned author Arthur Conan Doyle, who created the world-famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Arthur possesses a firm sense of justice and a cool, analytical intellect. He has a habit of writing notes in the cuffs of his clothes to use as references for his novels.
