Summary
Honey Hatter appears as a minor character in the film Howl's Moving Castle, serving as the stepmother to Sophie and Lettie. In the original novel, she is known as Fanny Hatter. She travels in a steam-powered car driven by a chauffer and is known for wearing the latest fashion from Kingsbury to garner admiration, often displaying her patriotism through a hat adorned with two toy cannons. This stands in contrast to Sophie, who is far more modest. Despite not being Sophie's biological mother, Honey cares deeply for her daughter, evident in her worry when she learns Sophie is working as a cleaner in Howl's Castle and in the tears she sheds during their emotional reunion.
