Summary
Kouya Sakagami serves as the combatant of the female Zero pair, a duo created by Nagisa during what is presumed to be the first generation of experiments. Prior to their encounter with the male Zero pair, both groups operated under the misconception that they were the only such pairs in existence. Although they share this experimental background, Kouya and her partner Yamato attend separate high schools. While Yamato is outgoing, Kouya is notably serious and reserved, opening up exclusively to Yamato, whom she met during their shared training. Their professional bond evolved into a deep romantic and physical relationship, with Kouya’s intense love for Yamato masked by a cold, aloof exterior that serves as armor against her fear of losing her. This anxiety manifests physically, causing her to vomit at the mere thought of separation. Their dynamic includes open teasing from Yamato regarding Kouya’s use of fake cat ears, a societal marker in this world that Kouya wears despite not being a virgin, whereas Yamato does not conceal her status.
