Summary
Averruncus, known as Fate, is the final member of the trio of mercenary children assisting Chigusa. Although it is rumored that he arrived in Japan from the Istanbul Magic Association just a month before the school’s field trip to Kyoto, he was actually recruited by Chigusa Amagasaki to support her schemes, who refers to him as "Newcomer." Fate possesses extensive expertise in both Western and Eastern magic and demonstrates high proficiency in martial arts, with Negi noting that his style slightly resembles the Chinese martial arts he practices. He is notably stronger and more skilled than Negi. He is responsible for nearly turning everyone at the Kansai Magic Association headquarters into stone and kidnapped Konoka when Chigusa failed to do so in earlier attempts. The name he uses may not be his true identity, a fact pointed out by Eishun and confirmed by Professor Akashi’s report. After being defeated by Evangeline alongside the summoned demon god, he disappeared. His specializations include water-based and petrification spells, as well as Eastern magic techniques such as summoning demons using ofuda.
