Summary
Sairas George serves as the Vice President of the United States in the manga. Following the death of David Hoope, he assumes the presidency and quickly capitulates to Kira, officially announcing his support for the killer. Sairas also betrays the SPK by leaking their secret information. How to Read 13 characterizes him as weak-willed and clearly lacking as a leader. In the anime adaptation, he holds the position of President from the beginning of the series.
