Summary
Miyako Toudaiji is a classmate of Maron and Chiaki, residing in the apartment directly across the hall from Maron. Born to parents who are detectives, she is relentlessly dedicated to capturing Jeanne, driven by a desire to clear Maron’s name after classmates had previously claimed Maron resembled and spoke like the thief. In the anime adaptation, Miyako remains unaware of Maron’s true identity as Jeanne, employing dangerous schemes and plots that create significant trouble for Jeanne and her missions. She maintains this ignorance until the story’s conclusion. The manga presents a different narrative, revealing that Miyako knew Maron was Jeanne from the start, using the alias to protect her friend in case she was caught. Deeply in love with Chiaki, she ultimately gives up on him because his attention is focused on Maron. Characterized by stubbornness that mirrors Maron’s own personality, Miyako frequently becomes angry whenever Jeanne escapes. Near the end of the anime, when Yamato confesses his feelings, she assumes it is a cruel joke and neglects him. Conversely, in the manga, she marries Yamato Minazuki and they have a son named Shinji, who is the reborn form of Access.
