Summary
Hieda no Akyuu serves as the present "Child of Miare," a title held by members of the Hieda family born once every few centuries. Possessing the unique capacity to never forget anything she witnesses, she is tasked with documenting the history of Gensokyo. She has a known preference for red tea. Her memories extend back 1,200 years because each "Child of Miare" is a reincarnation of the predecessor, inheriting the accumulated memories of all past incarnates. As the ninth in this lineage, she is aware of this secret, as is Yukari, though she revealed partial details to Reimu in Memorizable Gensokyo. With each reincarnation, her lifespan diminishes, and she dedicates her time to compiling the Gensokyo Chronicle, a written record of Gensokyo's past. Perfect Memento in Strict Sense represents the edition of this chronicle she is currently producing.
