Summary
Kazuhiro Mitogawa was a former member of the Agency who became obsessed with the sesshōseki, hoping to harness the Kyuubi’s power to resurrect his mother, an exorcist killed in action. After Lady Tamamo appeared to him in the Vatican’s library, he willingly served as one of her subordinates, triggering the events of Ga-Rei: Zero and the first seven manga volumes. He provided Yomi with a sesshōseki but later confiscated it when he was angered by her giving one to Kensuke. Referring to Lady Tamamo as his overlord and the former mistress of the Kyuubi before its sealing, he later joined Setsuna during the Jugondō coup as her subordinate. In this role, he extracted the souls of Kagura and Kensuke, transporting them to a spirit realm known as Tamamo Garden where they met Lady Tamamo. Kazuhiro possessed insect-related magic and abilities tied to the sesshōseki, including the power to remove souls from its bearers, and had a sesshōseki embedded in one of his eyes. He was ultimately killed by his resurrected mother before Izuna could avenge Yomi. His goal was to reveal their world to the public, a feat he partially achieved when the Kyuubi was spotted globally.
