Summary
Very little is revealed about Rose, other than the fact that she is a young dragon who has not yet developed the ability to shift her form. When she is initially freed from her container, she is in the custody of the criminal organization Fang. Rose is unable to speak and initially only knows how to say Ryuuji's name, though she gradually learns a few other words, largely by watching television and listening to Eriko. Because she lacks the means to communicate and does not know her own name, Ryuuji names her Rose after the rose-like patterns found on the scales at the back of her left hand. She displays an intrusive behavior toward almost everyone, but clings tightly to Ryuuji, even sleeping beside him in his bed.
