Summary

Eustass Kid, known as the "Captain," is an infamous pirate and one of the Eleven Supernovas, a group of renowned pirates on the Sabaody Archipelago whose individual bounties exceeded 100,000,000 when the Straw Hats arrived. He holds the second-highest active bounty in the series, surpassed only by Monkey D. Luffy’s 400,000,000, and ranks fourth overall after Donquixote Doflamingo and Gekko Moriah. His high bounty stems from his crew’s history of causing massive civilian casualties. Physically, Kid has pale skin, no eyebrows, dark lips, and black-painted nails. His flame-like red crimson hair is complemented by square-framed goggles with a nose piece that covers the bridge of his nose. He dresses in a style influenced by Heavy Metal musicians, wearing yellow and black spotted pants, sea boots, and a furred captain’s coat adorned with spikes, which he wears with his right arm in the sleeve and his left arm tucked inside. Around his waist, he wears a bright blue scarf and belt holding several knives and a gun, while gold bracelets adorn his wrists. Despite his violent nature, he shares a bond with his nakama similar to Luffy’s; his first-mate, Killer, speaks to him casually, unlike typical pirate dynamics. Kid is often angry or sarcastic, and reacts quickly to perceived insults with violence, such as attacking Scratchmen Apoo for staring at him. However, he can restrain himself in tight situations and acknowledges that pirates are more humane than the World Nobles, noting that pirates at least have good sides. Like Luffy, he dreams of finding the One Piece and becoming the Pirate King, earning him respect for Luffy’s recklessness. Kid deals with challenges differently, reportedly killing those who laughed at his ambitions, and believes that determination to achieve the impossible is essential for survival in the New World. After the timeskip, his bounty rose to 470,000,000.
