Shaiapouf is a butterfly-humanoid Chimera Ant who serves as one of the Chimera Ant King's Royal Guards. He presents himself as the most calm and rational of the trio, frequently emphasizing the superiority of logic and reasoning over emotion. However, his intense devotion to the Chimera Ant King severely clouds his judgment. He adheres to a preconceived absolute ideal that allows for no amendment, while also projecting this impossible standard onto the King. This manifests in fanatical monologues and treacherous actions whenever he perceives his lord is being led astray. Pouf harbors a vehement loathing for Komugi, believing that she holds back the King from his supposed right to world domination as the pinnacle of evolution. As a master of psychological games and subterfuge, he is willing to deceive, betray, and murder anyone to preserve his image before the King. In crises involving the Chimera Ant King, he abandons delegated duties and acts purely on the sway of his emotions. Consequently, Shaiapouf is arguably the most irrational of the three Royal Guards, becoming manic and demented due to his magnified love for the King.
