Summary
Basilicum, known simply as Basil, serves as a young disciple and subordinate to Iemitsu. Born on July 23, he is 15 years old in the present timeline and appears as a 25-year-old in the Future Arc. Standing at 157 cm and weighing 47 kg with O-type blood, Basil wields Metal Edge as his weapon and utilizes Alfin, a Box Weapon that releases a dolphin he can communicate with telepathically. He possesses the blue rain attribute flame and can enter Hyper Dying Will Mode by consuming special pills crafted by Iemitsu. Strictly trained since early childhood, he is a highly talented fighter. Unbeknownst to Basil, Iemitsu sent him to Japan to deliver fake Vongola Rings to Tsuna, a ruse designed to safely transport the real rings. During this mission, Basil encounters Superbia Squalo and is defeated. Despite being used as a decoy, he remains fiercely loyal to Iemitsu and assists in training Tsuna to control his Dying Will Flame. The CEDEF later deploys him to the future as support for the Vongola family. Basil speaks in an archaic manner, replacing first-person pronouns with "thou," "thee," and "thy," and addresses Tsuna and the guardians with the suffix "-dono." This habit occasionally hinders his modern communication. In the anime, he is voiced by Yuka Terasaki.
