Summary
Born on June 10, Kou Kitamura was born in the same hospital and on the same day as Wakaba Tsukishima, a connection that has kept them practically inseparable since birth. Although he is in the fifth grade during Part One, he begins attending Seishuu High School at the start of Part Two. Living just down the street from the Tsukishima family, Kou is treated like one of their own whenever he visits their home, the batting cage, or the coffee shop. While he appears to have little interest in baseball to outsiders, he has been practicing daily at the Tsukishima Batting Center since he was old enough to hold a bat. This rigorous training has made him an excellent batter, particularly against fastballs.
