Summary
Io is a demanding puchidol that frequently displays dismissive or threatening behavior toward humans and other puchidorus. Despite this tough exterior, it suffers from loneliness when left alone and secretly craves attention. The creature possesses the ability to fire an energy beam from its forehead, powerful enough to vaporize cockroaches and blast through concrete walls. It can also utilize its forehead as a reflector or light source. Iori has trained Io to fire the beam on command, though it may lose control in certain situations, such as when sneezing due to a cold. Io often carries Iori’s stuffed rabbit for comfort. It makes its first appearance in Chapter 12, having been discovered by Azusa in Africa and named by Miki. Its vocalizations typically consist of a "Moh!" (もっ), while it emits a "Kii!" (キー) when annoyed or upset, and laughs with a "Nihihi!" (にひひっ) when happy.
