Summary
Spade is the first of Shin’s minions to appear in the manga. Kenshiro initially confronts him while he is hunting Misumi, leading to Spade losing his right eye when Kenshiro uses the Nishi Shinku Ha to deflect an arrow from Spade’s bowgun back at him. Seeking revenge for this defeat, Spade later attacks Misumi’s village. Although Kenshiro rushes back to intervene, he arrives too late to save Misumi from Spade. Kenshiro then engages and defeats Spade using the Hokuto Zankai Ken, granting him three seconds (seven in the anime) to reflect on his sins before he explodes. In the anime adaptation, he is identified as the Jack of Spades, alongside King’s other three lieutenants from the manga.
