Li, Tenmon
Seiyuu / Dub
Summary
Li Tenmon makes his debut in Battle 157 as a thirty-eight-year-old Dou specialist and Satsujin Ken practitioner from China. Although he is a master within Yami, he is not one of the One Shadow Nine Fists, a fact evidenced by his absence from their gathering. Ogata Isshinsai recruited him to have his disciple defeat Kenichi. When Renka notes that Hermit is searching for his master, Ma Kensei observes that Li is a bloodthirsty combatant as dangerous as his brother Sougetsu. In Yomi, Li has a daughter who also serves as his disciple. He enforces strict discipline, often striking her for minor infractions, such as addressing him as father rather than master. Following her defeat, Li personally engages Kenichi, Miu, Renka, and the Shinpaku Alliance in a prolonged but heavily skewed battle. Just as he is about to kill them all, Ma intervenes, reprimanding him for interfering in a disciple’s match before defeating him. Ma points out that despite his ruthless treatment of his daughter, Li still cares for her and other young girls, likely because they remind him of someone’s daughter. Niijima’s Scan technique suggests Li’s power rivals that of the Ryozanpaku masters, though the results may be inaccurate due to the device exploding. Li also demonstrates immense durability, surviving a fall from a two-story building by landing on his head without injury.
