Summary
Raizen stands as the most powerful of the Three Kings and the undisputed strongest character in the series, holding the title of the God of War. Once a fierce warrior, he was severely injured in combat and subsequently nursed back to health by a human woman. During his recovery, Raizen fell deeply in love with her and they conceived a child together. He made a solemn vow to never consume another human being again until he could reunite with her. However, she passed away before they could meet once more. Honoring his promise, Raizen chose to starve himself for centuries, a decision that caused his immense power to wane as his hunger intensified. His descendants carried on the lineage of the witch doctor, eventually leading to Yusuke Urameshi. Even on the verge of death from starvation, Raizen retained enough strength to fight evenly against S-Class warriors. During the confrontation with Sensui, Raizen possessed Yusuke, lending his power to help Yusuke secure victory. Before passing away, he urged Yusuke to train relentlessly for months, believing that Yusuke would eventually surpass him and claim his kingdom. Although Raizen died before Yusuke could exceed his strength, Yusuke ultimately succeeded in gaining Raizen’s domain.
