He subsequently assisted Kindaichi in "Kindaichi the Killer," establishing himself as a reliable media contact who leverages his writing career to conduct background investigations on suspects. While his sources are typically trustworthy, he faced a crisis during "Kindaichi the Killer" when he realized that a friend who claimed to be offering help might actually be a primary suspect. Itsuki also makes a minor appearance in the "The Gentleman Thief" arc.
