Summary
Kazutoshi Gotou is a middle-aged detective characterized by his clumsy nature and intense workaholic tendencies. He is a man of action who prefers to rely on instinct rather than careful thought or lengthy discussion. Gotou has known Yakumo for a long time, viewing him as family despite frequently losing his temper over the young man's contrary attitude. His concern for Yakumo is evident, leading him to seek the boy's assistance whenever a case involves paranormal elements. Although his methods may seem rough, Gotou is fundamentally kind-hearted. He tends to become overly invested in his investigations, often holding himself responsible when outcomes are not as desired.
