Summary
Chiral and Achiral, referred to as Doom and Gloom in the English dub, are minor antagonists who serve the Black Moon Clan under Green Esmeraude, even making an appearance on her page in the Materials Collection art book. While they function merely as monsters of the day in the anime, they play a more significant role in the manga. There, they are dispatched to welcome the Sailor Senshi to Crystal Tokyo, where they construct a mirror-image replica of the Crystal Palace as a trap. When Sailor Moon engages them, she is immobilized by a magnetic field generated by a man-made crystal at her feet, but Tuxedo Mask destroys the crystal through sheer willpower, allowing him and Sailor Venus to kill the brothers. In the anime adaptation, the duo is tasked with creating Dark Henges at Juuban Park and Juuban Elementary School. Their actions incite violent, constant fighting among students and teachers and lead them to attack Momoko, Chibiusa’s best friend, which ultimately forces Chibiusa to reveal her identity as The Rabbit to the Black Moon Clan.
