Summary
Tekuno Kanden is a shinobi of Konohagakure who was tasked with guarding the village's borders in the aftermath of the Invasion of Konoha. He possesses a sturdy physique and shaggy brown hair, typically wearing the standard Konoha shinobi uniform with fingerless gloves. His flak jacket is worn unzipped, revealing a utility sash that holds several scrolls. His combat style centers on heavy explosive artillery and trap-making, utilizing wires with exceptional proficiency. He can deploy wires across a battlefield to simultaneously trap multiple enemies. In battle, he has been shown summoning a crossbow to fire projectiles imbued with exploding tags, as well as several katanas, suggesting considerable skill with blades. Kanden was assigned to a squad alongside Hayama Shirakumo, Kosuke Maruboshi, and Naruto Uzumaki to defend the northern boundaries following the attacks by Suna and Otogakure. During this mission, he set traps in the area, which initially hindered an ambush by a battalion of Iwagakure ninja. When the enemies breached his defenses, Tekuno stayed behind to ensure the rest of his squad could escape and report back to the village. He summoned a crossbow loaded with explosive tags and, alongside Hayama, eliminated the majority of the attacking ninja, contributing to the team's success in wiping out dozens of Iwa shinobi. Later, he assisted in restoring Konohagakure after Pain's Invasion, taking the opportunity to boast about his heroism during the earlier mission.
