Sailor Tin Nyanko

Summary

Sailor Tin Nyanko is the fourth member of the Sailor Animamates to make an appearance. In the anime, her human alias is Nyanko Suzu, a name derived from her Senshi title and the Japanese word suzu, which means both "tin" and "bell." The name Nyanko is a colloquial term for a cat, stemming from nyan, the Japanese onomatopoeia for meow. Her pseudonym in the English manga version is Kitty Bell. In the manga, she debuts in Act 45 as a transfer student from Libya. Like Lead Crow, she targets individuals from her home planet, Mau, specifically Luna and Artemis. When Diana arrives to protect them, Tin Nyanko uses her Galactica Puppet attack to transform the trio into their humanoid forms before injuring the crescent moon markings on their foreheads, reducing them to ordinary, severely injured cats. Although Sailor Star Fighter intervenes and Tin Nyanko escapes initially, she is ultimately killed by Galaxia. It is revealed that she was responsible for the death of Sailor Mau, the Senshi of her home planet. According to the Materials Collection, Tin Nyanko possesses the ability to manipulate scents and is said to have nine lives. In the anime, she appears in Episode 188 as a rival to Sailor Lead Crow and Sailor Aluminum Siren. She plays a partial role in the deaths of both rivals and, in the process, discovers Sailor Moon’s identity. During their confrontation, Sailor Moon attempts to heal her, succeeding only in removing one of her bracelets. This action allows her true personality to partially emerge; she becomes torn between her duty to kill the Sailor Senshi and a newfound urge to rebel against her master. Symbolically, her uniform turns half white during this shift. Sailor Galaxia resolves the situation in Episode 195 by removing the remaining bracelet. Upon her death, Tin Nyanko leaves behind a small golden bell that was part of her uniform.
