Summary
Known as the "Bloody Cross," Luka is a reserved young man with black hair and silver eyes who has silently guarded Yuki since his birth fifteen years ago. Although he is a duras, he currently operates alongside the Gioh family, appearing to be a university student in human terms despite his unknown true age. His normally expressionless demeanor softens significantly in Yuki’s presence. During the Last Battle, Luka defected to the human side, a shift rooted in a past life where he and the female version of Yuki were lovers. Luka wields a large black sword and possesses formidable magical abilities, including the power to summon a powerful Salamander dragon. He formerly served as the "loyal dog" for the demon king, consuming his blood to gain strength surpassing that of opasts and potentially even the demon king himself. However, he abandoned this role upon meeting Yuki. While the current Yuki has no memory of their past romance, his heart reacts strongly to Luka. Luka refuses to reveal their history but pledges to stay by Yuki’s side for as long as Yuki desires. The narrative hints at a darker past, revealing that Luka belonged to the "sinner" clan, Crosszeria, and was treated as a slave. The demon king branded Luka with his own blood, causing the mark to glow red and inflicting immense pain, a memory that still physically sickens Luka. This blood seal ensured Luka’s loyalty, as betrayal would mean death. Luka claims that his new contract with Yuki voided the previous one, allowing him to live, though he hints that the old bond may not be entirely broken. His twin brother is Luze Crosszeria.
