Lake Toya
Seiyuu / Dub
Summary
Appearing in Chapter 150, the Spirit of Lake Toya is known for wielding the sword carried by Gintoki. He attempted to instruct the Yorozuya in an ultimate technique called the "Jumbolic Magnum," a move that launches the target into the sky with a single punch. This attack has a side effect that forces the victim to shed bodily fluids from their body, though none of the gang ever succeeded in learning it. The spirit resides with his parents, whose appearances are quite distinct. His mother sports an afro hairstyle complete with a white beard, while his father is perpetually searching for employment. The father possesses a sure-kill technique named the "Jack Nicolle," which involves shooting a beam from his bald spot. Toya also keeps a pet that sheds large amounts of curly hair. Additionally, it is said that he was a fellow student of Taikobou, the main character of Hoshin Engi. Toya has a fondness for fried cuttlefish, a fact evidenced by the contents of his wastebasket. He claims that the strange-smelling hardened tissue paper in his trash are remnants of occasional cuttlefish feasts, although Gintoki disagrees with this explanation. Under his bed, he maintains a book collection of female figurines. The character serves as a parody of Zangetsu from the manga Bleach.
