Summary
Yuzuru is a thirteen-year-old boy who possesses a youthful appearance, appearing significantly younger than his actual age. He was Nanami’s next-door neighbor, and since both of their families were frequently absent, the two spent much of their time together. During these shared moments, Yuzuru came to view Nanami as a big sister figure. His devotion deepened after Nanami turned into a vampire; he searched for her relentlessly, even endangering himself, and eventually assisted Mina and Akira in rescuing her. It is revealed that Yuzuru loves Nanami just as deeply as she loves him, and he willingly allows her to turn him into a vampire so they can live together in the Bund. However, after being forced to attack Nanami, his lover, he turns against Princess Mina and joins Rozenmann. When it becomes known that Nanami is still alive, Yuzuru appears to abandon his service to Rozenmann. As of Volume 13, he and Nanami are last seen presumably escaping Rozenmann’s castle through underground passages.
