Making his debut in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 8 of 2000, Scimitarta serves as a member of the Endurance Curry Pirates. His character design was created by Nobuhiro Watsuki, the mangaka behind Rurouni Kenshin, and draws heavy inspiration from Arabian culture. This influence is evident in his distinctive turban, the scimitar he wields, and his flying carpet, which also functions as the group's pirate flag.
