Summary
Korobi is a shinobi from Sunagakure who serves under Gaara alongside Yaoki. The pair was dispatched on a mission with their leader to intercept a bandit group operating between Suna and Konoha, an area that Team 7 was also tasked with securing. Initially, Korobi displayed a cowardly and timid demeanor, largely due to his fear of Gaara’s violent killing impulses. This fear persisted until after Suna’s invasion, when Gaara’s nature began to change. Later, when Gaara fell into a trap set by Suna’s own assassination squad, he ordered Korobi and Yaoki to flee the scene. Naruto encountered the two subordinates and learned of Gaara’s capture, questioning why they had left their leader behind. Both Korobi and Yaoki struggled to comprehend the idea that Gaara could be considered a friend. Despite their initial hesitation, they eventually joined forces with Naruto to rescue Gaara. Once the mission concluded, Gaara asked them what they had said about him during their conversation with Naruto. Responding with newfound happiness, Korobi and Yaoki declared that they were indeed his friends.
