Summary
Kirinoha is a Youkai who encounters Natsume Takashi in the fifth episode, mistakenly identifying him as Natsume Reiko and demanding the return of his name. Since Kirinoha’s name does not appear in the Book of Friends, the episode reveals that Reiko allegedly played numerous pranks on him during his lifetime. Natsume strives to refute these claims, pushing himself to the point of fainting from sickness and exhaustion to prove his innocence. Although Kirinoha expressed a desire to see the sea to Reiko while she was alive, he remains confined to the forest because, having been born within it, he believes he is forbidden from leaving.
