Summary
Maron is an anime-exclusive character introduced during the Garlic Jr. saga as Kuririn’s girlfriend. She is portrayed as somewhat ditzy, often referring to Kuririn as "Kurin," and is outspoken enough to insult Chi-Chi and Bulma by calling them old ladies, much to their frustration. Although she bears a striking resemblance to Bulma and is frequently mistaken for her, the two are quite different; Maron has a curvier figure with larger breasts, whereas Bulma is a staple of the series. Maron appears only in the Garlic Jr. arc and makes a single cameo in the Cell Saga. Manga creator Akira Toriyama has clarified that he did not name Kuririn’s daughter after his former flame. Since both Marron and Kuririn mean "chestnut," this is likely a coincidence where the same pun was used by both the mangaka and the anime writers.
