Summary
Rin is Alice Sakaguchi’s seven-year-old neighbor, a age that progresses to eight as the series unfolds, and he has spent his time tormenting her since she moved in next door. The dynamic shifts when Alice is compelled to babysit him, leading to a childish dispute over Jinpachi, whom they encounter during an outing. In a bid to provoke Alice, Rin seizes the crocus they purchased and hurls it from the fifteenth-story balcony. Alice retaliates with a slap, causing Rin to tumble over the edge. In a desperate attempt to save him, Alice loses her grip and plummets from the same height. Remarkably, Rin survives the fall but falls into a coma, during which he rapidly relives nearly all of Shion’s memories in a condensed timeframe.
