Motoi

Summary

Hailing from Kumogakure and currently stationed on the Island Turtle, Motoi first appeared in the manga’s four hundred and ninety-second chapter and the two hundred and forty-third episode of Naruto Shippūden. During their childhood, he and Killer B shared a close friendship. However, Motoi’s perspective shifted drastically at age five when his father died during an effort to contain the Eight-Tails, which had escaped its previous jinchūriki. This tragedy instilled a deep hatred for the beast within him. When B was subsequently selected as the new jinchūriki, Motoi, mirroring the sentiments of many Kumo villagers, directed his rage toward B, viewing him merely as the monster’s vessel. He once attempted to assassinate B to avenge his father, but B effortlessly disarmed him. Although Motoi’s face was concealed, he believed B recognized him, especially since B greeted him with the same friendly fist bump they used to share. This encounter left Motoi unable to face B, leading to a thirty-year silence between them. Over time, however, his animosity softened into admiration, and he began to regard B as a true hero of the village.
