Sanada, Nobuyuki
Summary
Sanada Nobuyuki serves as the elder sibling to Sanada Yukimura. During the pivotal Battle of Sekigahara, he aligned himself with the Tokugawa Clan, a move that appeared to be a betrayal and caused significant rift between the two brothers. Their relationship is further complicated during the Shogun Tournament, where they clash in combat. It is eventually disclosed that Nobuyuki’s true intention was not treachery, but rather to impart a crucial lesson to Yukimura. Contrary to Yukimura’s beliefs, Nobuyuki never actually betrayed their family; instead, he strategically joined the opposing faction to ensure the survival and prosperity of the Sanada Clan, regardless of which side ultimately emerged victorious as Shogun. Despite Nobuyuki and Yukimura both claiming to be thirty-seven years old and sharing an almost identical appearance, suggesting they may in fact be twins.
