Summary
Arima was the national champion in the 100 meter sprint and attended Toudo University High School. He harbors a deep-seated resentment toward Kazuki, who consistently defeated him during their middle school days, a rivalry that remains a sensitive topic for him. He is accompanied by a dedicated group of fans who support him at various tournaments. Similar to Suzuka, Arima accepted an opportunity to study abroad in the United States, where he closely monitored Yamato’s running times in Japan. Upon returning, he enrolled at Touto University and joined their track team. Tetsuhiko and Souichi manipulated Arima, hoping his presence would reignite Yamato’s competitive spirit. When this strategy failed to produce any reaction, Arima confronted Yamato about his lack of drive during a walk home. After Yamato revealed his reasons, Arima coldly stated that, in his own shoes, he would have the girl terminate the pregnancy because track was his absolute priority. This callous remark sparked a physical altercation, as Suzuka holds the highest value in Yamato’s life. Near the conclusion of the series, Arima sent a message through Kenji, challenging Yamato to compete against him in the Olympics. Ultimately, Arima and Kenji went on to represent Japan in the 100m and 200m events, respectively.
