Summary
Takaishi was the boy Fuka loved during her time in Osaka. His interest waned after he learned she had already received her first kiss from Akito in kindergarten, leading him to mistakenly believe she was already taken. He began avoiding her, interpreting the kiss as her losing her virginity, which Fuka misinterpreted as rejection and a sign that she was tainted. When Takaishi eventually visited with Fuka’s friends from Osaka, he realized the misunderstanding and asked her out, but she refused, citing the distance between their towns. Later, Sana and Akito discovered his new address and learned he had broken up with his girlfriend because he still held feelings for Fuka. They passed his contact information to Fuka, leaving her to decide whether to call him. In the anime adaptation, Fuka initially moves on after meeting Takaishi’s new girlfriend, Shizu. However, after both she and Takaishi end their respective relationships, they resolve their past misunderstandings and become a couple.
