Carne serves as one of the primary cooks aboard the floating restaurant ship Baratie and shares a strong friendship with Patty, as the two applied for positions as restaurant cooks together. The pair proved indispensable during the defense of the Baratie when Don Krieg attempted to seize the establishment by force. Like his fellow staff members, Carne embraces the identity of a fighting chef, taking up arms to protect the restaurant from the Krieg armada. He wields a large extended knife in combat. In the 4Kids dub, Carne is voiced with a heavy Mexican accent reminiscent of Cheech Marin. The name Carne is derived from Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese words meaning meat.
