Summary
Natsumi serves as Asakura’s girlfriend, having been in a relationship with him for two years. Her life takes a dark turn when she is traded to Okubo for a single night as payment for his assistance in dismantling the Oni-baku. However, instead of a brief encounter, Okubo and his accomplices repeatedly assault her and capture photographic evidence to use as blackmail. Natsumi remains in this abusive situation under the misguided belief that her presence protects Asakura from danger. Upon learning of the trade, she attempts suicide using a shattered glass bottle but is rescued by Eikichi. Following the conclusion of the Okubo arc, Natsumi and Asakura reconcile and intend to marry. She eventually becomes pregnant with Asakura’s child, leading the couple to elope after her parents voice their disapproval of the union.
