Kagami, Masanori

Kagami, Masanori

Summary

Masanori Kagami serves as an instructor at the prestigious Fujigaya Girls' Academy, standing out from his colleagues due to his unusually young age, which naturally draws the attention of many students. Although he holds the official title of advisor for the Drama Club, he rarely mentors the students or directs their activities, choosing instead to make sporadic appearances merely to offer his support. Consequently, the older members of the acting troupe frequently tease him, noting that he performs even less actively than a ghost member. His personal life is intertwined with the Sugimoto family, as he is engaged to Kazusa, the second eldest daughter. He is fully aware that Yasuko harbored romantic feelings for him after she confessed in a letter, a rejection that left him feeling somewhat awkward in her presence. He typically avoids discussing the incident, often resorting to humor to downplay the significance of the event. The situation becomes more complex on his wedding day when he discovers that Kuri, the third eldest Sugimoto sister, was also in love with him, prompting him to attempt to laugh off this additional revelation. Despite his popularity among women, Kagami maintains a simple, affable demeanor that often surprises those who meet him, helping them warm up to him quickly. He has a tendency to speak without filtering his thoughts, a trait exemplified by the time he casually bestowed the title "Mistress of the Library" upon Yasuko, a nickname she holds in high regard.
