Summary
Born in the winter in the town of Ou, Gin is a male Akita Inu. Distinguished by his unique tiger-striped Brindle coat, his destiny was sealed from birth: he was destined to become a bear dog. This path was forged in trauma when, as a small puppy, he witnessed his father, Riki, being thrown into a gorge by the massive paw of the bear Akakabuto. Following this tragedy, Gin began his rigorous training as a bear dog under the guidance of the old man Takeda Gohei. His life changed course one day in the mountains when he encountered a strange group of wild dogs dedicated to killing Akakabuto. Joining their cause, Gin embarked on a journey to recruit powerful dogs willing to aid them in their battle against the beast. As he travels, Gin matures from a puppy into an adolescent and rises to become the leader of a large platoon. His strong sense of justice and generous nature inspire many dogs to swear their loyalty to him, solidifying his role as a formidable commander.
