Summary
Minatomo, a native of Wano Country, first appeared in Episode 55 as a traveling carpenter infamous for his obsession with fixing any broken door he encounters. He departed Wano 55 years ago alongside Shimotsuki Kouzaburou and Furiko to settle in the East Blue, though a relative sharing his name remains in his homeland. This character originated in the SBS as a humorous device created by Eiichiro Oda to explain an artistic oversight in Chapter 1, where a door at Partys Bar reappeared intact shortly after Higuma had kicked it off its hinges. Since that introduction, the anime has frequently utilized him as an Easter Egg, similar to Pandaman, placing him in background crowd scenes. Notably, Minatomo has never appeared in the manga itself, with even a carpenter appearing during the Wano Country Arc confirmed to be a distinct individual.
