Summary
Chaka, also known as "Chaka the Jackal," serves as one of the two head guards in the Arabasta kingdom under Igaram, alongside Pell. He acts as the captain of the royal guard whenever Igaram is absent. By consuming the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Jackal, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit, Chaka gains the ability to transform into a jackal or a human-jackal hybrid. Although Chaka usually stays with Pell, he leaves to confront Sir Crocodile during the attack on the kingdom. Driven by anger at Crocodile's lack of compassion, Chaka attacks out of rage, though he is also motivated by a desire to protect Vivi and Kohza and to buy them time to end the battle. Despite these efforts, he is easily defeated. He survives the encounter and later appears in the Arabasta arc to command the royal guard to cease fighting, eventually visiting Pell's grave. His most recent appearance occurs when the Straw Hat crew receives their bounties shortly after the CP9 arc, where he expresses shock at seeing Robin join their ranks.
