Summary
Introduced in Toaru Majutsu no Index, Misaka Worst represents the latest iteration of the Misaka Clones, developed under the Third Production Plan. This initiative commenced following the acquisition of Last Order by Accelerator, with these new subjects created for objectives distinct from their predecessors. Standing at Level 4, they possess power surpassing both the standard Level 2 Sisters and Level 3 Last Order, though their electrical capabilities are more limited. While they can launch railguns, their projectiles only slightly exceed the speed of sound, a stark contrast to Misaka Mikoto’s ability to propel them at three times that velocity. Additionally, their electricity manifests as purple lightning, differing from the blue hue associated with the original. A primary function for this series is to replace Last Order as the administrator of the Misaka Network, a move designed to elevate the system’s capabilities and further Aleister Crowley’s grand plan. Physically, these clones resemble a high school-aged version of the Level 5 Electromaster, measuring two to three centimeters taller than the original. Their appearance diverges significantly from the first batch of Sisters; they feature orange irises and dark circles around their eyes, whereas the original twenty thousand clones had gray irises and the original Mikoto had brown eyes. They also forgo the signature hairpin and Tokiwadai Middle School uniform, opting instead for a full-body suit. To ensure they cannot be controlled by Last Order, their bodies are embedded with numerous metal parts, a modification described by one clone as excruciatingly painful. Despite sharing Mikoto’s appearance, their personalities have been programmed to mimic those of Mugino Shizuri.
