Tsuyoshi Minami serves as the captain of Toyotama High School and stands as one of the team's two aces, a duo that Sakuragi nicknames "chick-face" due to the bird-like appearance. Alongside Kishimoto, Minami holds the formidable reputation of the "Ace Killer," a title he earned by striking Rukawa in the face with an elbow, mirroring his previous hit on Kenji Fujima of Shoyo which resulted in a black eye. Although he inflicted this injury, Minami shows a complex side by providing Rukawa with healing ointment the night before the match against Sannoh and offering him a warning regarding Sawakita.
