Summary
Sasae Mochibaru is a notably timid individual who typically avoids eye contact and speaks in a hushed tone. She finds herself easily intimidated by the aggressive Miri Natayama and grows nervous even around the calmer Kouki Akune. Mochibaru is almost always seen holding her head with at least one arm, as she genuinely fears her head will roll off if she does not. Removing both hands causes her significant distress, and she only relaxes once her hands return to their usual position. Despite her meek nature, she holds deep affection for the Shogi Club and its members, notably standing up to Natayama to protect a freshman and refusing to speak ill of Natayama until she was forced to do so.
