Summary

Kamina is an 18-year-old young man from Jiiha village with a height of 184 cm and a weight of 74 kg. He harbors a deep-seated dream of leaving his underground home for the surface, a place he first saw as a child. Passionate and charismatic, Kamina expresses his ambitions through energetic speeches that inspire everyone who hears them. He successfully convinces Simon to assist him in drilling through the village roof to reach the world above. Although the initial attempt fails and results in Kamina’s imprisonment, he eventually escapes the village with Simon and Yoko, a young girl, following a battle against Gunmen that invaded from the surface. After breaking through to the surface, the trio encounters numerous allies and adversaries. Kamina eventually forms the Gurren Brigade, a resistance force dedicated to fighting the Beastmen Empire, which hunts humans living on the surface, and rises to become its leader.
