Charys, originally known as Ifrit, is a Special A-ranked greater spirit and the sovereign of flames. He once resided in the Dwelling of the Spirit until he was abducted by the Platinum Devil, Leon Cromwell. Leon subsequently sealed him within Shizue Izawa, an act that granted her an extended lifespan. As a Flame Giant, Charys is perpetually encircled by a protective maelstrom of fire so intense that Rimuru’s water blade evaporates upon contact. Following his naming and evolution, his magicules surged to levels surpassing those of unawakened Demon Lords like Frey and Carrion. His abilities include Fire Manipulation, Combustion, Ranged Barrier, Body Double, and Flare Circle. The name Ifrit is derived from the Middle Eastern supernatural creature associated with fire.
