Summary
Akemi is Jin’s foster mother, though he affectionately refers to her as 'Oba-chan' or auntie. A former hostess, she endured a painful past, having lost custody of her son to her ex-husband. Her life took a dark turn when a deranged client slashed her face, an attack that left the assailant with near-fatal injuries after a young Jin intervened, driven by memories of his grandfather’s murder. Since then, she has made a living selling crepes from a roadside stall.
