Summary
The King of Italy, son of Carlo Alberto, the King of Sardinia, traveled to Milan for a banquet where he encountered the siblings Alfredo and Bianca Martini, who were accompanied by Countess Isabella Montovani. They confronted their malevolent relatives, Maurizio and Grazela Martini, in the monarch's presence. Alfredo revealed to the king that Maurizio’s Martini medal was a counterfeit, asserting that the genuine artifact was in his possession. To identify the deceitful relative, the king inspected both medals. He ultimately determined that Maurizio’s was the fake, while Alfredo’s was authentic, distinguished by its carved "mark of benediction." Furthermore, the king concluded that the Martini siblings were innocent of their parents' murder.
